After working 37 years in a family-owned office furniture dealership, I made a life-changing decision to become C12 Group Chair for Central Alabama.  Not only will I be able to work with Christian business owners and CEOs, but I’ll be able to focus full-time on answering God’s call to be a Christ-like servant leader.

A life-long native of Birmingham, AL, I graduated from Samford University and went to work with Bodine, Inc.  My dad, Carl, bought the business in 1972 and my first year was spent in the warehouse uncrating and delivering Steelcase furniture (the industry leader).  I spent 17 years in sales and the last 19 years as owner and president.

In the last 25 years, I’ve been involved in Bible studies as both a participant and leader.  I’ve also enjoyed working with two non-profits that are focused on bringing business leaders to Christ.  I’m blessed that C12 gives me the opportunity to use my business background and faith to “finish strong” by serving the Lord and those He has called to run businesses for Him.

My wife, Gayle, and I just celebrated 37 years of marriage and we have three grown children (Bud, Amy and Jeff) and four “all star” grandchildren (John, Miller, Win and Ella Kate).

My number one hobby is golf… it keeps me humble!
